Weight Training: Barbell Hip Thrust
·1 min read
This movement is the barbell hip thruster. When done properly this will train all the muscles of the posterior chain with a special emphasis on the glute muscle groups. When setting up for this movement the athlete should find a comfortable spot in the groove of the hips to maintain the bars as they move from the bottom to the top position. The athlete should also maintain a tight core and a flat back to prevent the bar from moving outside of a straight line.
